Sean O'Connor joined Longwood Fund in 2026 as a Principal on the investment team. He was previously a Principal at the T1D Fund, where his investments included SAB Bio (NASDAQ: SABS), vTv Therapeutics (NASDAQ: VTVT), Zag Bio, Mozart Therapeutics, and others.

Prior to the T1D Fund, Sean was a Project Leader at the Boston Consulting Group, where he supported biopharma and medtech clients on strategic and operational initiatives and led commercial due diligence efforts for private equity investors.

Sean earned his Ph.D. in Biology from The Rockefeller University where his research focused on microRNAs in adipocyte metabolism and function. He received his B.A. in Biochemistry from Occidental College, where he conducted research in inorganic synthetic chemistry.
